Solar Electricity - Photovoltaics (Solar Electricity) at the Archetype Sustainable House
The Archetype Sustainable House's roof features integrated solar Photovoltaics (PV) which is technology userd to generate electrical power by converting solar radiation into direct current electricity using semiconductors that exhibit the photovoltaic effect. Ian MacLellan, Vice-Chairman of Arise Technologies speaks about how Photovoltaics work and the MicroFIT program available to Ontario residents who which to generate solar power.
