backyard wind generator - Wind Generator Raising The Tower Air-X 400 Watt

I get some questions regarding how we service the wind generators and here is a short video from the backyard security camera of us taking down the back wind gen to service it and put up some meteorologic instruments. The tower is on a pivot like a sea saw with one side cut off so it can go vertical, we release the guide cables and un-bolt it, then we ease it down via man power and the counter weights and my dad catches it as I let it down. We discovered that the regulator and over speed is burnt out on this one it stays at 12v but just keeps making juce when the batt bank is full ( they are supposed to stall when full )not a big deal but with out overspeed it sounds like a dieing cow going off in a wind over 25MPH so we turn it off to manually stall it. We also installed a La-Cross ? weather station with anamomitor, rain, and temp you can now see that live via the ShonerBoner.Com website. To raise the tower it's much the same in reverse, throw the gen up and me and dad pull like hell on the counter weight to get it up smoothly with out hitting the stoppers and making it sweigh, bolt it, guy wire it. We have lenco ? welding cable couplers to join the wire and don't forget to re attach to the ground rod. VOLA!
